I agree with the thought that is was cowardly and an insult to gun owners. In fact, I get "give us money" calls fairly often from the Repubs. I have now told them that they get not a penney until they grow some cajones.

Dayton isn't going to sign it. Period.

That's not why it died though.

There were not any Senate endorsements this last election. Stay tuned for next election though.

I seen the video on KARE of the police chiefs and prosecutors at the capital trying to get this bill killed. In Missouri, we have pretty much everything in there, aside from the CCW 5 year permit, and somehow we have not had police shot in peoples back yards, and police do not enter silently. As a matter of fact, when you go through classes taught by LE, they always say that if you find someone in your home that got in there silently, shoot first without hesitation, because they want to commit great bodily harm. There will be no lawsuits, our laws prevent folks from filing civil lawsuits against people protecting their "castle" wherever that may be. The laws have worked well, and it prevents lawsuits from parents of repeat offenders that found god and could never do anything like that.

Keep the pressure on. MN is still a fairly liberal state with the MPLS population. Don't let them ruin it for the rest.

Well, the're not in session, so everything's dead right now. There will be a new bill introduced next session.
