The way John Marty (DFL) talks this bill somehow makes murdering a cop legal.
Did I miss the language change making shooting an announced police officer legal?

Today, the Minnesota Senate passed House Bill 1467 by a 40 to 23 vote. This important reform legislation, sponsored by state Senator Gretchen Hoffman (R-10) and state Representative Tony Cornish (R-24B), will now be sent back to the state House of Representatives for its concurrence, before being sent to Governor Mark Dayton for his consideration. The House vote on concurrence is expected to take place this Monday, February 27.

Thank you for writing me about the proposed bill on Castle Doctrine. I too am a strong supporter of our Second Amendment rights. Minnesotans have the right to protect themselves and their property. As you know, the bill was passed on the Senate floor by a vote of 40 to 23 on February 23 and I voted yes. It is now awaiting Governor Dayton’s approval.
Again, thank you for writing about this issue. Please feel free to contact me about any further issues in the future.
My best,
Michelle
