Sorry, I'm kind of detail oriented but did you mean ... will not become a reality... ? :?

Dear Governor Dayton,
I wanted to take a few moments and ask you to sing this bill into law as expeditiously as possible.

You want him to sing the bill? I didn't know that was an option.

Other than that stupid ****, which I did not even catch, ya, me one of the spelling and grammar nazi's, selurcspi's letter made some good and, I think, very effective points. :cheerleader2:

Tell Governor Dayton to sign the Stand Your Ground bill

How's the secretary this morning? She sounded a bit stressed yesterday and I got a "I'll pass it along" with the ever so slightest hint of frustration and sarcasm.

I called again this morning and will call at lunch and before leaving. Sent my e-mails to mark.dayton@state.mn.us (which may or may not be read) and from the web form. Then I faxed via faxzero.com. Took a couple minutes but keeping the pressure up is worth it.

Done again!

I also added that of all the other states that already have “stand your ground” laws in place, I’m completely unaware of any Law Officer’s that have been killed or even hurt by a law biding citizen under their law.

So if he's taking the full three days of stalling time, can we assume we have to wait until tomorrow for an answer?

I'm off work today and tomorrow if anyone wants to meet at the capital and do a little sign wavin'.

Faxed again today, I figure his email and voice messages will go unread/unheard but at least a physical piece of paper coming out of the machine is at least a solid presence.

I suspect the three days doesn't begin until it leaves the house concordance which I thought happened Monday but I must have been mistaken as I'm now informed should happen today. I'm not sure if it's 3 calendar days or 3 business days but I can ask.

So I am wondering, does anybody know of anti gun groups that are trying to flood Governor Daytons office telling him to veto this bill?

Well lets see...a common tool of activists on either side of a contentious issue is to contact political figures in advance of a vote or signing...what do you think? :D

Luckily we outnumber them...so as long as people WRITE/CALL/EMAIL...and don't rely only on others to do it, we should be able to show Gov Dayton that the majority of Minnesotans support this legislation. That was the reason, in the past, that so many anti-rights bills were passed...no one cared enough to let their politicians know their opinions.

Call, click or fax today!!!
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.

According to the radio, today is the day that Dayton will decide whether to VETO this bill. According to the radio "close sources indicate that he will likely Veto the legislation".
