Why does Armslist have banner ad's for Obama? WTF?

Postby CIBOIF on Fri Apr 27, 2012 5:19 pm

Shocked
This morning when I was cruising armslist.com and saw Mooochelle Obama's mug staring back at me from the side of the web page. Seems Armslist.com are running banner ad's for Obama. Evidently she wants me to pledge my support for Barry Sorento....err... Barack Obama. What in the wide wide world of sports is going on here. Is armslist.com that hard up for advertising that they have to take money from the enemies of the 2nd Amendment and of the Consititution?

Just a rant I guess but I did send armslist a message expressing my displeasure.

Targeted marketing based of your cookies or other websites you've visited. On the plus side, basically Obama is sponsoring Armslist in a round about way. :D

...their advertising guy has a taste for irony? Who knows? Even though Obama's election caused the biggest gun buying panic in recent history, he hasn't done anything to take away our gun rights. I don't doubt for a minute that he is very pro gun control like many on the hard left, but Bill Clinton did a heck of a lot more than Obama has. Granted there's the Fast & Furious debacle which seemed to have been created to sew the seeds for a gun control push (and for which Attorney General Holder should've resigned in shame), but there hasn't been any gun control legislation passed.

Just because anti gun legistlation has not got out of the Congress and made it to Obam desk to rubber stamp doesn't mean its not there. He did start his antigun campaign by talking about all the US guns that were going to Mexico and killing people (before Fast and Furious became overt). This was going to be the start of his antigun war and call for another assault weapons ban if not worse. However after Holder et al screwed the pooch, Obama wasn't going to get much traction with the stink on Holder and left it alone.
Obama also has refused to allow thousands of Garands and carbines to be reimported to the US from Korea. The Garands are now said to be allowed but not the carbines. However we still have yet to see these come to market. Obama acts through surrogates to do his bidding and is ten times more sneaky than Bill Clinton could ever hope to be

I hear he's going whole hog and banning guns of all sorts as the centerpiece of his second term*.

Why not simply use an ad-blocking add-on, like ad-block plus?

Armslist looks like this without blocking the ads.

Using ad-block plus Armslist looks like this
