Supreme Court meets Monday morning
The Associated Press

Mon, Jun 9, 2008 (6:47 a.m.)

The Supreme Court is meeting to issue opinions and announce whether it has accepted any new cases.

Major cases still undecided include the rights of detainees at Guantanamo Bay, the ban on handguns in Washington, D.C., and whether people convicted of raping children can be given the death penalty.

The justices have 26 cases left to resolve before the term ends in late June.

There is not a decision needed, except rope or caliber, regarding this................ :gun:

Rope? Caliber? You are entirely too nice. I was thinking more along the lines of 1/8" drillbit and leeches.

The heck with that, just turn them loose in the general populatiion in prison with a sign saying "Child Molester" around their neck. The population will take care of the execution for us and not worry about the "...cruel and unusual..." part of the Constitution.

Didn't say it wasn't murder, all I said was that the general population of any prison would take care of the problem.

Do I have to give the lecture on "FOCUS" again? OK, children, what part of the forum are we in? Right, little Johnny, we are in "Politics", and since this is a "gun" forum, it should have been understood that I was refering to:

_Gun rights, and the fate of a handgun ban in Washington, D.C. The court is undertaking the first comprehensive review of Second Amendment rights in U.S. history, and will decide whether individuals have a right to own guns, or whether that right is linked to service in a militia.

But, obviously, they didn't address this case on Monday. So you'll have another oportunity to test your "FOCUS".
