Seems a little wrong to force someone to broadcast their personal beliefs.
I agree with you 100 percent. I do not believe that people should have to let others know that they are legally carrying a gun. That is your protection and right. You are letting the crazy people know who has guns and who does not. I completely agree with tour statement that someone should have to broadcast their personal business.
Maybe so, but it's a huge step in the right direction. Not to mention that bad guys probably won't go there.
I know of someone in their mid 30's who's been a permit holder for quite awhile. They've been working on a degree for a few years, and can't carry on campus. They tell me it's creepy sitting in some of the classrooms and lecture halls where there's only one entrance/exit, since all it would take is one armed wacko to pick them all off like fish in a barrel, and there would be nothing anyone could do about it (including security) other than just stand there and get shot.
Even with two exits, it still wouldn't matter. The police aren't going to risk physical harm to go in and save anyone; they'll just wait for the shooting to die down, then go in and slap cuffs on the bad guy. It's happened time and again.
There's no reason why someone like my acquaintance shouldn't be allowed to carry, and the fact that they aren't is a little ridiculous.
