Too funny.

All to predictable, Heffay is in favor of some new "reasonable gun restrictions"....

Well clearly new gun restrictions will solve all the problems. I'm so excited for gun violence to be completely ousted from the United States. Why didn't we think of this earlier? Gee wizz if only the shooters mother never legally acquired those weapons, then he would have never acted out violently in the future! I'm sure just being around all those "assault weapons" totally changed the kind of person he was.

Is increasing the penalties for straw buying a new gun restriction? Is a tax on gun manufacturers a gun restriction? How about more funding for mental health issues? Is that a new gun restriction?

What's your definition of a "restriction"?

Everyone is freakin out because of the school shooting. This thread wouldn't even exist right now on MNGT if the shooting didn't happen, so obviously its relevant. They're using these children's death as a platform to push for more gun laws. Do you think any gun law would have stopped that guy in Connecticut?

No. So we do nothing then? Let them dictate the terms of the discussion? Refuse to sit at the big boys table?

Not all gun regulations disarm the victims.

None of them effect criminals.

Is it effect or affect?

Yes we do nothing. At least for right now. No one is capable of making any rational decisions right now. It's hard too, as it should be, a bunch of children were just killed.

put your nutters back in the asylum instead of giving them meds and a good luck.

so if nutter used a ferilizer bomb would you be looking to tax all farming supply manufacturers in the off chance that an idiot would use it to use their items to blow something up? Or should Ginsu knives pay a tax in case someone uses it on people instead of steak.

Give us a break.

I love how you guys will trample constitutional rights of others to prevent restrictions on your own.

Don't throw me into that generalization. I do believe meds have their place, but I also believe that they are totally over used as well. I have seen meds totally change a person for the better and I have also seen the complete opposite.

Hey, how did the policy of refusing to deal with the other side work out in the last elections? Rousing success? Got everything you were looking for?

You're correct. I was very disappointed that Bob Barr was not elected president.
