Petition We the People

Postby Skarrde on Tue Jan 29, 2013 1:13 pm

Here is a petition that a friend of mine has put together and asked a number of us to put up. It is to go to law makers here in Minnesota and you can log in with Facebook or what have you.

Going live and soon to collaborate with other Senate and Congressional Districts around the state, before making it to St. Paul and under the eyes of every local legislator. Please sign and spread, should you feel so inclined. Thank You;) (Proposed changes are welcome and will be taken into consideration, but the aim is to keep it simple and to the point).

Except for the little fact that in MN a petition mean less than squat. It is simply used to collect data. We not an initiative/referendum state.

Well that's one way of looking at it.

Another is that it is something we can do that may have an impact.

So either we act, or we can sit around and whine when they pass the laws they want, having done little or nothing to prevent it. Your choice.

Something that accomplishes literally nothing but getting your name in someone's voter database.

Talking with the gentleman who set it up the only one who can see it is him. And he will keep it private. He plans on keeping all names and email addresses private and not divulging them to ajh organization.

Edit:changed inky to only. Stupid cell phone.
