NRA sent out an eBlast last week...I don't have it anymore because GOCRA had sent me an identical one the day before.

NRA is on this too...

Ok. Dang. Well, they missed me on that one. I'll have to make sure they have my email address correct. I'm glad they are on it, as they should be. Thanks for letting me know that. Also, thanks for supporting GOCRA.

No one knows what will happen for sure, I would think. What I said is what I think, and several other people I have talked to, to include dealers and others. One dealer told me a while ago that one big event would happen and we'd be hit hard on gun rights. Well, now we've had Sandy Hook and we will get hit with something, and I'm sure it will be something that affects us and not criminals.

The same guy believes now that high capacity magazines are gone. I don't know if enough hunters have been converted to support "assault weapons" and "high cap" magazines, but not near enough metro peeps have been, that I'm fairly sure of.

Most that live in cities in general, don't see these weapons as something anyone should have besides police and the military.

"Pessimism" is often confused for "realism." But if your not worried about it like your phone call could make the difference, how hard will you fihgt it?

If there is anything that could get these bills to pass, it's convincing everyone that they needn't bother to speak out against them because they obviously have no chance.

I second this sentiment. Just because there's no chance doesn't mean we should be lazy.

For all who think "it will never pass". How many of you thought obama would never get health care through. Who thought he would never get elected for a first or second term. Obama doesn't need to worry about the next election. He is going to be extremely radical the nex 4 years. What he destroys in this country will be very very hard (or impossible) to repair. Most of us will live the damage for the rest of our lives. Believe me this does have a chance at becoming law.
I believe Its a national security issue. One thing that makes us strong is guns. Hard for anyone to think of invading a country where its not just the military thats armed. A country without guns is an easy target. Just look around the world.
This does have a good chance on passing. Just look at his plan for immigration. Lets let 30 or 40 million people stay here after committing a felony to get here but threaten a LEGAL citizen with jail for having a gun the holds 12 rounds that he legaly purchased.
Remember this is obama's country he gets to make the rules. The next 4 years will be ugly.

This paragraph says all we need to remember. Obama does what he damned wants and runs this country like it was his toy. Stand up and be heard and be heard loud and often against Obama and against these unjust and damaging laws for anyone that owns a firearm!! Don't let Obama destroy our country any worse than he already has!!!!

Can I keep all my magazines If I super dooper promise to not load them past 10 rounds?

Seriously though, this bill would seriously cripple action shooting sports, especially if something like a 7 round passed.

Both Klobuchar and Franken endorsed Feinstein's crazy talk. I assume both want to be re-elected. I think they're doing what the party tells them to do and not what's in their best interest. I assume the party is telling them that if they tow the line, they'll be taken care of.

Unfortunately for them, electing a goat next time around looks like a pretty good idea right about now. There's no way the party can protect them from disenfranchised voters who will vote for anyone except them when their terms are up. They need to continue to hear that continuously from us, not just this week.

I rec'd this back from Senator Carrie Ruud today, and it makes me proud to be an American when I get this type of response!!!

I got the same form letter from Senator Ruud.

My representative is Joe Radinovich. He's a Democrat, but assured me that he was opposed to any new gun legislation and he would not vote for it if it comes before the house for a vote.

Trust me, it could be a worse time. You are not going to be drafted and spend a year in a humid hell. Perspective, my son.
