I recieved this response from my Senator yesterday. It reads like something the Caucus may have composed for all the DFLers can send out:

Thank you for your email. Tragic events like last year’s Sandy Hook shooting and the senseless Minneapolis workplace shooting remind us of our rights and responsibilities as citizens, and many have questions and concerns about the safety of the schools and neighborhoods in our state. The legislature is looking forward to hearing from concerned citizens, law enforcement, and other experts on these issues to ensure all views are heard and considered. It is important that everyone’s voice in this debate is heard, and that all options are carefully examined before we make any legislative decisions. Please know that I will keep your concerns in mind as we discuss this important issue in the coming months.
