Well since no one else is gona step forward i will...

i have no permit "in hand" and going off "second hand" info that "Dane Aura" has a permit to set up tomorrow.

i will be bring with me

1. PA system, speakers & mic - its small but works
2. table
3. ext cords
4. generator
5. garbage bags
6. podium
7. pens
8. zip ties
9. drill, screws
10. dolley
11. back drop with flags

IF someone here knows Dane would you please have him contact me ASAP, im driving in close to 2 hours and i dont want to haul all this **** down with me if we dont need it.

I decided to set this up at 5:05 pm today, i just one guy. not dozens, working for days, it will take me several hours to load everything up but i believe its worth it.

I need help with two things

if someone knows the guy that testified on tuesday night (long hair works at a gun shop) he has a petition started that would be awesome if we could get that there so people could sign it.

2. SHOW UP. even if we dont have a legit permit, i guessing is has more to do with the PA set up etc... what can they do if a 1000 or so people just show up to hang out


again im one guy

if anyone has details/rules about the permit, extra stuff signs, flyers, banners, or wants to help set up or what ever call me

It pains me to say this, as I was planning on being there, but with no organization this could be out of control fast.

All the leaders associated with GOCRA are sitting in the hearings right now. It's going to be tough to get much of a response.


If you are indeed going to show up anyways, you/we need to find some speakers first.

Apparently, according to comments on Facebook people are going Friday Feb. 8th, 2013 10.00 AM

Dana Aura is currently showing a permit in his profile pic on Facebook with a I think Kirsten Aura having submitted/applied for said permit. The whole permit page is not visible but shows a partial date of 2/8 with a start time of 10 AM on the South steps.
I'm computer stupid and unable to screen grab and copy it here, maybe one of you guys/gals would do, if you care to.

Posters name removed I would just like to remind Governor Mark Dayton that the Pine County Sheriff is NOT the only Public official to be coming up for re election. Listen to your constituents and re read the Constitution if you need, especially the 2nd Amendment part.

Was 1280 the only entity to obtain a permit? Nothing on their site says its canceled. The link is still there.

We were never the sponsor of the event, we just helped promote it. We found out today that the organizer did not get a permit, and did not have a PA system to address the crowd. We had nothing to do with organizing it so we can’t cancel it. I don’t know what the agenda will be if any on Friday

I am sure people will still turn out. I am planning on stopping by .

There will be no organization so to speak as of right now. No speakers, itenerary, etc etc etc, unless someone wants to pick that up.

We(wife and I) got a permit today and are planning on being at the Capitol on Friday in full support of the nationwide event.

Yes! We have permit to be there. There is ZERO organization.

This has turned into a way for a MASS number of taxpayers, voters and MN citezens to literally, meet face to face with the lawmakers. Bang on their doors and speak to them. They aren't in? Leave a message with their receptionist.

Better yet! Print your letters and leave them with the reps/senators/legislators of your choice.

A MASS number of ACTIVE citizens literally filling our capitol will be huge!

Carry permits are not needed UNLESS YOU GO INSIDE! Jim's idea is brilliant beings as time is nil to send a notification to there security offices.

Again, this is an UNORGANIZED EVENT! BUT, is the perfect time to literally go directly to their office.

With all of the hearings this week at the capitol, organization for this event had fallen apart. This will be a show of numbers and an opportunity for THE PEOPLE to hit ground zero and speak.

Not everyone had a chance to attend and even less the chance to speak at the hearings the past few days. NOW is your chance. Hit every legislative office you can.

Posters name removed Been watching the MN house hearings on the gun control bills.
The lady leading the proponants side was caught in an outright lie about the stance that the MN police Chiefs association took on the bill, then tried to BS her way out if it saying it was a miscommunication. The testimonies for those opposing the bill outnumbered the proponants by about 10(or more)to one.
Lets hope all the testimonials don't fall on def liberal ears.

not sure who is gona speak, but we will be strong in numbers!!! regardless

talking with Dane he hopes that most will actually go inside and bang the doors of your Reps

I will be there and thanks for taking on the PA system and setup. One thing the US flag should be always displayed with the blue field and stars on the left as you look at it regardless if its vertical or horizontal. Also the other flags should be lower than Old Glory, (sorry if I am being nitpicky) other than that nice setup!

Copy that, any and all info is greatly appreciated. It would be great if someone that knew how to properly fold up the flag was around when I tear it down. Not sure what time that’s gona be but the permit is valid until 1:00, so no later than that. Its an old flag, not sure where my family got it. If someone wants to sing the National Anthem come on down around 10:00. It would be awesome if we could have a youngster sing.

There's one in every crowd.... Its pretty clear that the display that is in the photo is what is intended to be looked at by the crowd at the rally. So in that regard I stand by my statement which comes from many years of color guards, honor guards, and 21 years of service in the US Army. After 21 years of dog and pony shows I do know what the hell I am talking about.

goda0301, I was there this morning for the first 20 minutes and then had to rush off to a meeting. It looked good and thanks so much for all you have done! Wish I could have stayed longer to help you fold the flag and tear down the setup but I had a consulting gig to pitch to a client. By the way, You rock sir!
