Wow! I'm flabbergasted that that Communist rag bothered to publish a "pro-gun" article. Good read.

When I was at the U. in the late 70's and early 80's, I carried a pistol in my backpack. Almost every day I would shoot at the range in the basement under the Armory. How times have changed...

Yeah, but you can only shoot .22s there. The roof is the floor of the gym (err.. "parade grounds").

It wasn't the nicest of places. Downright dark and dingy.

I was there shooting in a 4P match and if someone was walking on the floor you could see your sights moving because the floor was not very solid. It was very noticeable in the prone position ... probably improved my score in off-hand! Just waited until until the walking stopped and the floor settled down before touching the trigger again.

I don't think anyone is shooting down there, but i do know that they have a Marksmanship course that is only available to ROTC students, but they use Laserlyte or something similar to train and score.

And the current MN Daily has dramatically improved. During the election, the editor will not run a pro Obama piece without a pro Romney one right beside it. And the same thing is happening on a lot of the hot topic issue. I know the editor, very opinionated in his own beliefs but he still know when to cut out the bias in reporting.

Nice to hear. When I was there the Daily was very liberal and bashed conservative ideas on a ...well...daily basis.

Actually, it wasn't the basement, it was the ground floor. I was on the NROTC pistol team my junior and senior years. Spent many hours in there shooting and cleaning guns.

Well, it's the Air Force ROTC's floor, so yes: It is the basement. ;-)
