This shouldn't come as any surprise. They claim to be "protecting" the citizenry when in fact they are protecting the ruling class. My parents went through this crap in the 50's in eastern Europe and would be rolling in their graves if they knew we were going through it now.

Yup. I did.

Gun control is nothing more than an attempt at limiting your 2A right and freedom.

Tell me what happens when there aren't any guns. How many slaves back in the civil war days owned guns? How about the jews in the ghetto and all of Europe in WWII? If slaves did get their hands on guns, it was to try and win back their freedom, which once list, is never fully regained, if any at all.

Free men own guns. Slaves do not. What is slavery but absence of freedom?

Slavery comes in many forms. I doubt he meant working on a cotton plantation. To some, being forced to pay the IRS is slavery, to some a 9 to 5 is slavery. It seems to be "how much control over your life should someone else have?" more than the classic definition the way I saw him use it.

Well, that sure doesn't make us look good. There has got to be a less inflammatory way of expressing his distaste for gun control without bringing up slavery. It's just dumb to do that.
