Opinion? Whatever do you mean? ;)

If you were here, I would buy you a beer.

Mostly because I want a beer, but the reasons for my actions don't detract from the end esult.

You should worry. It's people like you who trust the political system and idolize these DFL'ers who have the most to worry about. And don't tell people to "tone it down" just because you are afraid to express an honest opinion.

I don't think their are lists like some of you guys claim. Guns, even the vicious "assault weapons," are way to mainstream to matter to the gov't. Militias members are on lists. -Active- activists are on the lists, probably. The people on Youtube calling for revolution... I think the gov't puts those guys on the 'Goober' list, if at all.

I'm as 'on the list' with the gov't as I could be... and my bounds are pretty loose. I think you'll all be fine on MN GT. The list for the people here would be very very long.

Staying mainstream will probably help the cause more than it hurts it, until you give ground. Currently ANY ground. There really isn't any more that can be sacrificed to the grabbers.

It's funny that some worry about pro-2A folks spewing inflammatory rhetoric while the entire anti-2A movement is based on inflammatory rhetoric.

These people don't relate to facts, only emotion.

One problem is that the anti-gun folks are so ignorant about guns and they anger us with their inept talk about "30 clip magazines" and "heavy powered .223 bullet" and so forth.

Worse, they don't try to learn or improve their knowledge because they want to eliminate guns, not learn about them.

Sometimes........sometimes I think they actually make these errors on purpose just to make us mad.

The solution is to ignore it!

Don't get mad.

Just continue to calmly destroy their arguments with logic.

But undecided parties are buying into the lies. Furthermore, we need to take a pro-active position. All we do is respond to their lies. Frankly, we look like excuse makers to people who are on the fence.

I agree with the ethics comment, but using logic on illogical people may seem like the high ground, but it is ineffective at best.

I don't know what the answer is, but although our current plan is helping with lawmakers, if is only a furlough until the next attack on freedom.

You won't convince the hard-core gun control proponents. And don't confuse the undecideds with the "don't cares". The only thing you can do by acting like the lunatic fringe of the gun advocates is to turn the "don't cares" into "go ahead and take their rights away, because they are jerkfaces and it will make me happy to see them suffer"s.

And yes, there will be further attacks. The battle can't be won. It can only be fought over and over again. And acting like a nutjob now makes the next battle that much tougher. That is why we need to police our own.

to not participate in free and open discussion of your rights and the people who conspire to infringe them would be a failure of your respect for the First Amendment. The converstion and paranoia surrounding "lists" has the effect "they" wish it to have.

Please don't allow the manipulation and fear keep you from exercising your rights.

Responsible gun owners do not need to be policed by anyone. You're trading one problem for another. We're all individuals and do not need to be collectivized. The left tries to do it for us.

I'm afraid I disagree.

We have some pro-gun people who are so radical that almost everything they say sounds nutty "from my cold, dead fingers" or "if they come to take my guns they'll get the bullets first".....I guess that's the worst...people who talk about shooting police who would enforce confiscation of certain gun types.

They make the rest of us look bad and they turn the public against us--FACE IT--you can't talk about shooting police officers without looking like a psycho.

If everybody can just try to act like adults, we'll do a lot better. This fight will never end, and every irresponsible statement works against us for the long run.

As a 50BMG rifle owner, a FCSA Member, a NRA Member, an AMA Member, a SCSA Member, among others ...... I KNOW I AM ON A LIST somewhere and I don't care.

I am not going to crawl into a hole and hide.

I am going to pursue Life and Liberty, in the means as applies to me, in a manner that mainstream Americans believe in as Sportsmen in the shooting sports, without imposing unlawful beliefs on others not in the fold.
