The chairman (Latz)just had his pants taken down by Senator Julianne Ortman.

He was then bent over her knee and soundly spanked with a lesson on how the fricking Second Amendment is part of the bill of rights and not about feedlot restrictions.

:D :D :D

He could feel the smarting and wisely backed up and moved to another topic.

HE GOT SCHOOLED.

It's about 04:25:00...you can actually see him blush in embarrassment.

Tech Guys...this is DEFINITELY something for a highlight reel, Please YouTube it along with Rothman asking the Chair 'if he needs a minute' It shows the the Chairman as the Dork-Wad that he is. :D :D :D

The hearings have been mainly 4 hours of tedious detail but the Spanking-of-the-Chairman by Senator Julianne Ortman is 2 minutes of pure entertainment.

It would have been somewhat enjoyable if (Rothman?) would have stated something like. "I'm sorry Mr Chair, but I took time out of my schedule to testify before you. Unlike you, I'm not getting paid to be here and was under the impression that you were being paid to pay attention to my testimony."

I know he would have gotten the boot, but it would have been epic.

That may well have happened but you could see that Professor Olson was sitting next to him and grabbing him by the shirt to keep him from going off. That was Andrew Rothman by the way. I guess he's VP of GOCRA and the Professor is the Prez.
These two guys are sharper and smarter that the entire opposition combined :)

I agree, they are exceedingly sharp! However your statement falls a bit flat - a sack of doorknobs are sharper and smarter that the entire opposition combined.

I think the hearing ended close enough to Miller Time that the AV people at the capital probably didn't have time to upload the video. I think this is the right URL:
http://www.senate.leg.state.mn.us/committees/committee_media_list.php?ls=&cmte_id=1016
but we probably have to wait until Monday to actually see today's hearing.

As of 2200 Fri, it's not archived.
I think you'll be able to find it HERE.
If not go back to the senate home page http://www.senate.leg.state.mn.us and move forward to Multimedia/ Video Archives/ Senate Committees/2013 Video.

I was there for the thursday afternoon session. The guy from crucible arms testified against ubc. And did it rather eloquently. He also deflected a Cohen attempt to have him change his position.

"But yet, they fought".

I'm quite sure that this is, for lack of better understanding, EXACTLY why we have the 2nd amendment. One day, I hope these people will see the error of their judgement. Our society is built on fighting against tyranny, even if it comes in the form of a nice man/woman from the suburbs.

Michele McLane.... well said!

I liked Dean Zimerly's testimony, as well.
