What I cant understand about St Olafs Utopian America is how he plans to fund these grand dreams. Do I think it would be great if no one in our country had to worry about food, money, housing, health care, etc. Sure that would be awesome, but its not realistic. Lets be honest, there are lazy people in this country who are milking the system. I think removing the need to survive from the equation doesnt do anything to motivate a lazy individual. If a person is responsible for their own survival instead of the government, I believe they would make better decisions. If they didnt step up then they would suffer the consequences of their choices. Now i know there are legitimate highly motivated individuals receiving government aid and this comment is not directed at them, this is directed at the freeloaders who take advantage of honest hard working americans.
St Olaf, how do you envision paying for the path you and others want our country to go down, right now the debt is growing everyday, not even maintaining current values. At some point we are not going to be able to borrow to fund it any longer and then what is going to happen?
