There is a difference between not having insurance and not getting care.
By law, you present to an emergency room, and they have to evaluate you.
That doesn't mean you get satisfactory treatment or any treatment at all.......and anything you're lucky enough to get may take five hours of waiting.
And WHO pays for it? You and me and OUR insurance companies because the hospitals have to get their money from SOMEBODY.
Obamacare takes care of that problem.
Thank God.
Because......that old "emergency room" solution doesn't REALLY provide health care. No, not at all.
What it provides is simple emergency care if you're lucky enough to get it.
It doesn't provide cancer screenings or blood pressure checks or routine visits that catch heart problems or other serious problems that can kill or pregnancy care or the well baby care that all babies need or the routine visits that all kids need to grow up big and strong.
Emergency room care is fine if you're bleeding......otherwise it ain't worth much BUT, it costs the rest of us far, far too much to be effective.
Anybody who's against Obamacare after really thinking about this must be a hard-hearted S.O.B.
