My platform for President:

1) All guns are legal. No Class 3 crazy tax stamp, etc. If you want a full auto, go for it. No gun registration. If you can legally own a gun, you can carry, just like in Alaska. OC, CC, rifle, shotgun, pistol, as you like.

2) Prostitution is legal so we can tax it. Same with weed. Tax it. Don't drink and drive, don't dink and shoot, don't smoke weed and get a hummer while at the range or carrying, and life is good.

3) 4 year terms on senators and congress people with 8 year life term limits. ..and we all get the same health care package they do.

4) No more Electoral College.

5) Non-violent offenders (drunks, potheads, white collar crime under a certain $, etc) don't get prision time. We have way too many people in there for b.s. Many DO deserve it and need to be there, but not all. Let's use common sense.

6) California and New York are no longer part of the US since they hate guns. Let them fend for themselves. Eff 'em.

There's others, but that's for starters.

Any thing is better than what we have.... Flush the Washington toilet. Democrat / Republican, I dont care. They are all crooked as hell. This country WILL reach a breaking point.
It is better to have a gun and not need it, than to need a gun and not have it.

I totally agree.

I like the way the Greeks did it. Everyone had a chance to serve.

I also think that's why I found Jesse Ventura such a breath of fresh air back when he became Governor of Minnesota, he was not a career politician and just didn't give a eff what people thought.

At this point, I say bring on the pot smoking, hedonist, swinging, nudists that like to chant and howl in the moonlight, make wax candles, and believe in faeries, pixies, sprints, angels, etc. They can't do any worse than the people we have in office now can they? Heck, the Senate and House may turn into one giant orgy. At least it'd be interesting and for once the politicians would be effen each other instead of us.

I'd like to submit for platform consideration the one idea/action per bill. That should prevent those bills so large they have to be passed to find out what all's in them.

Breaking point is very close, if Obama goes through with his threat to declare semi autos NFA weapons it is time to remove DC.

http://www.downsizedc.org/ has the same idea. Read the bills act. One subject at a time act.

You do realize that without the electoral college, all states would be like CA and NY?

there are some points I agree with but the Liberatarian Utopia you are trying to achieve is naive at best and totally lacking in mature thought.

Do you read anything that isn't written by Rand?

Oh great, now we are going to be subjected to a 14-paragraph dissertation on what he has read and how it has helped to make him into the hardcore renegade warrior we know today....

The Great State of Nebraska has been operating that way for a long time. They also have a Unicameral ~ one house of part-time, non partisan elected senators. There are checks and balances built into their system, and the citizens only have half as many politicritters to support. At a state level, it works very well.

It was a Good Life there, but I will concede The Great State of Minnesota has better crafted carry laws. And better firearms forums ;)
