I'm ashamed to say that I only scored a 36. But I may be getting soft in this, the early fall of my life. I even find myself reading Dick Ungers posts and once in a while saying to myself "That makes sense" :D
The 2nd Amendment is the ONLY amendment in the Bill of Rights that specifies that it shall not be infringed.

I'm going to have to admit, again, :oops: that I had to look up another of your word's Joel (keep 'em coming, btw).

However, I'm still not sure I fully understand the term "jingoism".

The easiest definition I've found is:

noun [U] DISAPPROVING
the extreme belief that your own country is always best, which is often shown in enthusiastic support for a war against another country:
Patriotism can turn into jingoism and intolerance very quickly.


Is this a pejorative term?

Sorry for the ignorance... Just want to understand...

The hard part is avoiding jingoism without going to the opposite extreme ... That of thinking anything your country does must obviously be bad or immoral or corrupt.
