An Analysis of the Kyle Rittenhouse Trial

Postby Stugotz on Tue Nov 02, 2021 7:43 am

CNN (for a change) has a good story on the complex events of that night.

The video has good detail and a respectable coverage of the events.

Jury selection now in progress.

I suspect Rittenhouse has a fair chance at a fair trial.

The only thing they really have on him is gun possession by a minor, which apparently is against the law (a misdemeanor) in that city.
Speed is Fine, Accuracy is final....but accurate hits at extremely high speed is final much faster.

Andrew Branca (Law of Self Defense) is covering the trial on a day by day basis.

Here's a link to his youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-GqXHAdxVUVMw2F_7h_X3Q

Rittenhouse's future depends on the makeup of the jury. Unless the state has some as of yet undisclosed evidence, I can't see a red state juror convicting him. Blue state jurors on the other hand... Image

Oh yah, your link is dead.

Is the prosecution alleging that the shootings were not justified in the situation, or that Rittenhouse put himself in harm's way and created a situation when there wouldn't have been one?

Maybe this is over the top, but I avoid the legacy media, CNN in particular. I won't give them a click if I can help it. I consider them an enemy, and I would love to see them go out of business. The bulk of CNN should be considered propaganda.

As should Fox and all so-called cable news. None of them are news and are just opinion organizations and by definition propaganda.

I don't watch any of it. I read. Multiple sources. I'll take written news over televised or radio news anytime. When you read, you can take in multiple sources and you can weed out the opinion pieces (including the obvious opinions that drift into the written word). In my opinion, we are an absolutely dumbed down society who forgot everything that was ever taught in civics and media classes on distinguishing news and facts from opinions and propaganda. People who listen to talk radio are the worst. Because the propaganda creeps in subliminally while they passively listen to the garbage in the background while they are doing other things. They're not even actively engaged, but they are passively being brainwashed into aligning themselves with ********. End result is a bunch of dumb ****ers who think they're smart because they listen to the radio and can regurgitate passive propaganda.

Read more. Watch less. Listen to no talk radio.

Better yet, go right to the source, which sometimes means watching video, like a trial. Or, seek out subject matter experts directly rather than relying on a 'journalist' to interpret, like Andrew Branca.

Of course everyone has their own experience and biases.

Here's the written version of Andrew Branca's trial coverage. It sounds like the investigator and prosecutor might be guilty of some improprieties.
