Judicial Ballot 2022-all running unopposed

Postby daleamn on Tue Oct 18, 2022 4:45 pm

Finally got around to taking a look at a sample ballot (I'm in Ramsey County) and found every one of the folk on the judicial ballot (there's 22 of them) are running unopposed.
Also running unopposed is County Attorney John J. Choi. (I'm not including him as one of the 22 on the judicial ballot because he is on a different page than the judicial folk.)
Heavy sigh.
That said, maybe many, or most of the judicial folk are responsible, competent folk.
Sadly Ramsey County Judge Joy D. Bartscher is not up for reelection. Her term lasts until January, 2027. She's the one that gave the 20 year old guy that fired three rounds into car with people in it four months house arrest or work release.

Four months for firing a gun into a car with people in it.

I believe there's only one incumbent judge in the state facing an opponent this election...

 You were trying to be funny, weren't you?

I'm pretty confident that many, probably most, are left wings idiots.
