House, Senate Democrats Push Background Checks for Ammo Purchases
Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) are pushing legislation to require background checks for ammunition purchases.
The Democrats are pushing the Ammunition Modernization and Monitoring Oversight Act, or AMMO Act for short. In addition to requiring background checks for ammo purchases, Redstate noted the Act would also limit the number of rounds law-abiding citizens can buy over a five-day period and mandate that ammo dealers get a license separate from the Federal Firearms License (FFL) required for gun sales.

Of course they are. The easiest way to eliminate a right is to chisel away at it around the edges.

Because of course only someone planning a massacre would ever buy 500 rounds at a time.

I typically purchase 72,000 rounds of trap loads at time every year for the HS trap team

Straw man purchase! Uh oh!

Given how often you get delays with gun purchases, exponentially increase the checks and nothing will get done.

Worse, I am providing it to minors at school events. The horror!

I share your sentiment but IMHO this is more sledge hammer than chisel.

Elizabeth Warren, I'm not surprised. Is she still a Native American?

And then there's this:
How to curb gun violence: States should ban corporations from selling guns

This guy thinks the 2nd Amendment allows you to keep and bear arms but thinks the states have the right to close all gun stores...what never fails to amaze me is that this kind of idiocy gets published and the guy writing it is Scott Budow, a Democratic candidate for New York State Assembly District 52.

Jack hammers do have a chisel attachment.

An excellent point that I overlooked.
