Thank you bstrawse.

It's disgusting how our legislature is down to an 'us verses them' mentality. It's 'WE WIN' or 'WE LOSE' on every issue for some of our legislators. Case in point. Straw purchases. The Dems voted down stricter penalties last session then submitted their very own (almost word for word) version of the bill THIS session because of the Burnsville (the three first responders) shooting.

That said, although you might not change a legislator's mind (but maybe you just might so PLEASE keep trying) you might show how DUMB many of our legislators are and there may be changes next election.

Anyway, your efforts ARE noticed and ARE appreciated.

Not only that, they combined it with a ban on binary triggers so the GOP would vote against the bill. Politics at its worst.

I'll pass your thanks along to the team

It would look much better if the GOP controlled the Senate. That is for sure.

We have posted some updates on this recently on FB, Twitter, YouTube - right now we don't think they have the votes - but that can change.

[sarcasm] How much in donations from the gun industry have you contributed to the Senate? [/sarcasm]

Seriously, that's how the left thinks; that only well-heeled lobbying groups and campaign contributions can have any political power. That an issue might be important enough to millions of Americans to influence how they vote, and that legislators might actually be responsive to their base? How childishly naive.

NSSF gave us $500 last year for the banquet - that's the only gun industry $$ we've ever gotten lol.

And we typically don't give to candidate, but we do spend independently - which we think is more effective.

After Bruen and multiple lower court rulings, and with a majority of states signaling their respect for the Second Amendment by passing constitutional carry, one would think we'd be moving towards greater firearms freedom. But everywhere legislatures seem determined to double down on gun control. Particularly distressing is formerly pro-gun states like Wyoming which are now politically dominated by a few large Democrat-controlled cities that are pushing gun control on the rest of the state ala' Chicago/Cook County and Illinois.

Here in MN I'm alarmed most by the proposal to revoke state preemption on carry, which would make carry permits all but worthless as every postage-stamp jurisdiction passed its own gun bans. It's bad enough fighting for gun rights at the state level let alone every Karen-dominated city council.

They held a hearing on that, tabled it, and that was the end of it - total virtue signaling.

I've been following MNGOC via X. The way you have upped the game this session is really impressive. The 60-second videos are impactful, informative and indicative of how thoroughly involved the MNGOC team is on a daily basis at the Capitol. There is no other organization, regional or national that even comes close. The new website and Action Center is top notch and I love the sarcasm on X pointing at Minnesota Gun Rights too. Keep it up.

As Legislative Chair for the Gopher Rifle and Revolver Club in Harris, MN (540 members), I report on legislative issues in the monthly newsletter. The GRRC is an NRA Gold club (100% NRA membership) yet I am unable to describe a single thing that the NRA-ILA has done in Minnesota politics for the past 2 years.

Instead... I provide updates on all the impressive accomplishments made by the MNGOC and its allies in the Legislature.

Thank you and keep punching above your weight.

I've seen some very uninformed criticism of MNGOC by the Dorr brothers.

Do they have no idea how politics works?

They don't care. They profit off of claiming betrayals.

Quite well in fact
