I didn't see any signs at the fair at all this year. I looked twice. Maybe I'm not all that observant.

There weren't any on or near the entrance I came in through, but even when there were, I know that they missed some, after 2003. I think they've just lost interest in signage, rather than decided to obey the law. I'll call that a win, and hope it stays that way. Be nicer if they went for the latter, but, well, we are talking about government bureaucrats; obeying the law is rarely high on their agendas.

A man who was stabbed Sunday night at the State Fair's midway was in stable condition at St. Paul's Regions Hospital, State Fair Police Watch Commander Paul Paulos said late Sunday night.

The victim was stabbed by another man about 7:20 p.m. between the Spiral and Scrambler rides, Paulos said.

The two men, whose names were not released, are friends and it appears as if no one else was involved in the incident, he said. No arrests have been made.

Paulos, a sergeant with the St. Paul Police Department, declined to discuss what led to the stabbing, though investigators have some idea of what the motive was, he said.

He added that such an incident occurring at the fair is rare.

Better: don't have friends with knives who will stab you when you argue with them.

I drove in on Hoyt and there was a sign on the fence on the left side right before turning the corner to buy the tickets. I laughed when I saw it and my wife was wondering why I did.

Anyways, wish I would of had a camera with me....I saw a sign.

Do you think maybe alcohol was involved. It's happened before. Drink, fight, stab, shoot, I guess we're not friends anymore.

I think that's more than a vague possibility.

As the guy who did the stabbing was not arrested, i am betting it was a couple of Carnies who will be long gone in a week and never to be seen again as they just disapeer. When i worked in Roseville we had a lot of problem with Carnies stealing and you could Gurantee they would be a no show for the court case. ANd as it has been said many times on americans most wanted Carnies are hard to find as they are a tight unit.

I am sure they shared something together and have forgotten all about it now.
Really i am your worst Nightmare, for i walk the night and the cover of darkness belongs to me :D
