if the senate passed any sort of budget (not a CR)since Obama's been in office you'd have a point. Alas you do not.

That's what the Republicans say.......ummmmm......and that's what Fox News says.

And the truth? The truth is that there's no point in the Senate passing anything with the "Party of NO" in charge over in the House--because it would be DOA anyway.

Harry Reid is just a political realist.

Don't let the idiots make you dance to their tune.

As this plays out, the Republican Party continues to become more and more irrelevant.

Now THAT really IS stupid on their part.

Dunderheaded self destruction.

If, as you say, they are able to paralyze Democrats by merely existing, I would hardly call them irrelevant.

I didn't say they're irrelevant right now.

Did I? Or did I say they're becoming more and more irrelevant?

Obama can't pass his proposed budget among Dems. Why blame just Reps?

On fact, spending is much higher than it has ever been, just under Obama. He has increased it a lot. Are those not the irreversible facts?

Point is, spending is out of control. Obama is a communist, so he just wants any person or entity that is financially successful to pay for HIS agenda. Those people/companies provide for a lot of people that he wants to tax into oblivion.

"Fair share" is no diffenent than "common sense gun control laws."

Thats the tactic. Its basically a bully name calling again. The obvious implication is that if you dont want to pay more taxes, you are unfair. If you dont want more gun regulation, you do not have common sense.

As it should be and not surprising.

Fairness and common sense would be antithetical to the Tea Party.

What part of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is confusing?

Life is inherently unfair and unequal. We cannot legislate it otherwise.

YES YOU CAN! You can become a communist. And make sure to be one of the party members, not one of the proletariat.

This is where all liberal thinking goes wrong. They genuinely believe that with the proper application of laws and regulations that they will be able to perfect humanity. While this may be a noble goal, the result is that people become slaves to the government, and that freedoms, rights and liberties are sacrificed in an attempt to achieve that which is unachievable.

A more correct solution would be to employ laws and regulations to try to better rather than perfect humanity. And to realize that at the point where a law or regulation infringes on good law-abiding people, that it is a bad law. No matter how well intentioned it might be.

If this could be communicated effectively, most of the problems that are caused by the busybodies in St Paul and in Washington would be prevented.
