Authorities said the group intended to use the plot of the novel "Absolved," written by Mike Vanderboegh, a blogger who has closely followed the botched federal investigation known as "Fast and Furious." He also runs a whistleblower website called Sipsey Street Irregulars.

Funny how so many of these "terrorists" have been tied up with a "sting" operation. I wonder if they would have tried to get these things on their own without them being offered?

One day they're going to say herpa derp is terrorism. Then every forum in the world will be shut down for making terrorist threats. :(

That might be closer than you think. I am very familiar with a forum that has been declared an extremist site for a time. Not by the US government, though. This led to some ISP's shutting down access to it.
