Video posted on another forum by a former cop who seemed concerned about the direction of the police force, I found it disturbing.

Interesting! I worked along side cops for many years, some where ass-wipes and some where just normal people. I think that you find this in any vocation...Ass-wipe-doctor, good doctor. Ass wipe-lawyer, good lawyer. Ass wipe-soldier, good soldier and the list goes on and on. Cops have a real ******* job these days and it is only going to get worse. Is there a bit of the thin blue line stuff that goes on?.....sure there is but give them credit they stick together.

There are also a few of those jack-booted meatheads on this board and i'm willing to bet that they would be willing to give you the shirt off their back instead of wacking you up side the head....just as long as you comply.

That being said, I've never had anything but good interactions with TC area police. Methinks the video is a wee bit biased.

Not to say there aren't JBTs out there who got beat up a lot in Jr. high and now have a chip on their shoulder..... Just saying I personally haven't had any experience where I thought a LEO was abusing their badge..... and I've had PLENTY of interaction.

Hell, I even had a cop give me a ride home after busting my buddy for a DUI, with me as a passenger...

Exact conversation......

cop - "You want to drive his car home for him?"

me - "Nope. I can walk. It's only a few miles"

cop - "Good call. I'd have pulled you over on the next block. [chuckles] Hop in, I'll give you a ride home."

That is the only time I've ever been in the back seat of a cruiser. Not a lot of room back there.
