NRA Press Conference: Dec 21, 2012

Postby SpiderPig on Fri Dec 21, 2012 10:30 am

I'm listening to the press conference online. This is why I've paid my dues. Not compromising on the demand for continued gun rights and a real plan for prevention of tragedies like those at Sandy Hook.

NRA! That is a program I can stand behind. Time to renew my membership. Still a lot of fight left though....

I'd guess less than 4,000,000 people watched the whole thing, live?! ... I'd guess less than 1,000,000 ... much less!

This, is what all the rest will see ... and hear ... of it ...

I think that was one of the individuals he was talking about --- somebody needs to put them in the database

I was mostly listening to it, and didn't get the video up when that happened.

All in all they couldn't have said much else.
And this the correct format, no douche bag questions; control the message; make a positive statement, and put the ball in the other court.

I was disgusted by the snide White House reporters on CNN stating that they were "sure that Obama would not agree with the NRA proposals!"

If I could have reached into my TV and, well, had a face to face discussion...it would have happened right there.

I am cool with it. They were talking about a program where parents volunteered to watch over the playgrounds and school if I heard right. If that takes shape, I'm down to voulnteer. What a good press conference.

I'd say it was FAR more than that! ... as you eluded to, in another thread ... and myself ... a large part of what he laid out is how to protect these kids TODAY! ... simply no question! ... armed teachers, security guards, police ... SOMEONE ... a good guy ... with a gun ... can be EXTREMELY effective at protecting our children!

Limiting us to 10rd mags! ... how's that gonna keep a child from being shot?! :hammer:

That said, I don't think there's any question as to what effect this press conference will have on the rest of D.C. ... or the MSM! ... ya can jest picture tomorrow nite's SNL ... can't ya?! :|
