Evidence suggests that a ban on magazine size would indeed reduce the number of those killed in mass shootings, largely because of the difficulty in changing clips, particularly among amateur gun users.

This is the second time I've seen someone say this, the first was in a NYT article. "Evidence suggests." In both instances it was just kind of left at that, neither actually provided any actual evidence to support their claim, even though they said it exists.

I say we intruduce a bill. A common sense "save the children" style bill. Absolutely NO magazine stysle devices that contain more than 500 rounds. What child wants a dad with a hernia from that many rounds carried daily? The exception would be chain feed styles. But for magazines, NO MORE than 500 rounds.

Trouble is, on the extremely remote chance they accept the compromise, then it's established that the principle of limited ammunition is OK and the only debate is in the arbitrary number.

No thank you. Today it's 500 rounds and no big deal. Tomorrow it's 100. Then 30. Then 10. Then 7. Then 1. Then none.
