Compensating for something?

Unconstitutional, overreacting, rights stripping voters, perhaps? If we could just get those in favor of our rights to stop talking trash about open carry it may help us to not have to worry about this scenario. Like it or not, carrying concealed isn't for everyone, and I for one appreciate the fact there is no distinction/requirement to do so in this state for the very reason of the topic at hand.
Let's not ruin the few good things we have going for us.

Yes, actually I am.
I'm compensating for the lack of security force to protect myself and my family like the President has.
I'm compensating for the lack of security provided by life in general.
I'm compensating for the lack of the American Legal System to put and keep dangerous people behind bars who have threatened and/or taken the lives of other people.
I'm compensating for the lack of the police to protect me and my famiuly.
I'm compensating for the lack of the...well, you get the idea. I'm taking responsibility for my own life, just like everyone who carries does.
oh.... and then there's also the fact that I just don't give a eff what people think either on how I carry. Not that I've needed to, but I've given my reasons on here why. If you or anyone care that much, look it up. If you don't want to do that, then you obviously don't really care that much and just want the opportunity to be a jerk to someone, and why you'd want to do that is another topic and issue altogether. I certainly don't care if people OC or CC, whatever they want to do is fine by me as long as it's legal.

texasprowler wrote:Texas conceal law takes the printing and the shirt thing into account. One needs more than just knowledge of a gun presence to charge misuse.
Open carry in TX is a threat, apparently, so I see room for subjective interpretation.
darkwolf45 wrote:It was actually just supposed to be a joke. I have nothing against OC philosophically speaking. By all means, do it and if I ever saw you on the street getting guff for it I would gladly back you up not even knowing who you are.
Would I OC? Probably not. Conceal offers me tactical advantages i dont want to simply give up. But I get why people would want to do it. More power to you. But it was only meant as a joke.
