Another way to support the NRA

Postby Shashzhiin on Sat Mar 30, 2013 8:42 am

A while back the NRA split into two. A non-profit arm was created known as the Friends of the NRA. The reason for this was to allow the NRA to dedicate 100% or membership dues and donations to fighting for 2nd amendment rights. The new non-profit (NRA foundation and Friends of the NRA) took over funding fo all of the educational, training, youth support, shooting range improvement, and safety training, etc... with this change, support for the FNRA is tax deductable.

The reason I mention this is that while we are all strong supporters of the 2nd ammendment, we also need to be strong supporters of helping to introduct the next generation of shooter to our sport as well as promote education, safety and, training within our shooting community. I mention this because it is another way to support the future of our sport. For example high school trap teams that need funding for travel to events would be cut from budgets without our support.

We (the Capitol City Chapter FNRA - Saint Paul, MN) have a fundraising banquet coming up where we will be getting together and giving away firearms. I have put details below. I can be reached at eric0397@hotmail.com or 651-707-7950 with questions.
