Minnesota

Efforts to pass a new background check bill in Minnesota failed recently, but Bloomberg’s group is hopeful that advocates in the state could help usher in new legislation.

“We’re sort of building a team up there in the state, lobbyists,” the official said, “to maybe get something done this legislative session.” The group is looking at the possibility of supporting a bill for universal background checks on gun purchases.

The dude doesn't take a hint, Minnesota has a strong pro-gun background and every vote and hearing was packed with pro gun supporters who far outnumbered the anti gun out of state paid lobbyists.

And that was mostly metro area folks....I'm sure he'll be real popular in places like the range :?

A least he'll leave a bunch of his money behind, along with a chunk of his backside.

I wish he'd go spend his money on something else.

Wind farms are controversial, and both sides need more lobbyists. Maybe he can go there.

Or, rather than waste it, maybe he could invest in light rail, or hydrogen fuel cells... something that might actually benefit the human race.

This is a good time to mention that while the NRA supports MN, GOCRA does it at the grassroots level and is more localized than the NRA is. Join both. I did. If you aren't a GOCRA member, please join. Same goes for the NRA. While I disagree with the hardline the NRA takes wuth toeing the Republican line, I'm still a member. If Jesus was a Democrat and Satan a Republican, the NRA would back Satan. They suck the party line hard.

I wish states would stop meddling in other states' business. That aside, I wonder how long till we see Bloomberg become an official adviser to Team O.

How about a stadium?! If he paid for a stadium... everyone would be happy... those who want it... and those who don't want to pay for it!!

It will.

Some simple steps:
Join GOCRA - http://gocra.org/join.php - Give what you can
Get the MN Gun Owners PAC Newsletter - http://mngopac.org - signup on the front page
Give to the PAC where / when you can - see http://mngopac.org/donate
Follow GOCRA & MNGOPAC on Facebook (if you use Facebook)

When you get the "call to action" from GOCRA - do it. E-mail, call, and show - up if you can.

That's how we won in 2013. That's how we're going to win in 2014!
