Going to the Capitol Security Committee tomorrow?

Postby Sietch on Wed Jan 08, 2014 7:17 pm

Is anyone else attending?

For any that didn't hear already, Paymar and Prettner-Solon are giving it another shot.

WHAT: Advisory Committee on Capitol Area Security

WHERE: State Capitol. Room 112.

WHEN: 1/9/14 — 9:30am.

WHY: These people are dicks. They shouldn't be allowed to win.

See you there in your maroon wear. :)

I can't make it tomorrow but will watch the stream if its available -- I believe Rob Doar will be there representing GOCRA.

Three times, Paymar has asked the State Patrol what security consultants have recommended for improvements and THREE times they have responded, not mentioning firearms.

Frustrated, Paymar just flat out asked if the consultants recommended changing carry laws. Heh; SP told him that the consultants are only concerned with physical security [rather than political]. Nice :D

Is there an archive of the live stream?

The benefit of watching that weasel on Camera is that you are:

WITNESSING THE ENEMY YOU KNOW EVERY WORD IS A TREACHEROUS LIE AND THAT HE'S SMART ENOUGH TO PRESERVE THE VENEER OF SINCERITY....EDUCATIONAL...

Paymar officially laments, aloud and for the record, that this committee "is just not moving in the direction it needs to".

Now he's chiding the committee for adopting language--I kid you not--that the Capitol should remain "free and open". Also, he's "a little frustrated", wishing for "a little leadership". This is like a no-commercial break on the sorriest radio station on the dark side of the moon.

Given that he is chairman of the committee, his frustration needs to be focused on ONE PERSON - himself. However, like the true liberal politician he is, his failures are NEVER his fault, they're the fault of someone else.

I think we're SOL on live streaming...the link above goes to the Senate side and lots of gooleing doesn't turn up anything. :(

I like that after 45 minutes of hitting his point squarely on the nose with an 8 pound hammer, the only person who jumped on his wagon is Prettner Solon.

Can anyone offer some insight on the wisdom of the--IMO stupid--suggestion that a compromise be made by requiring specific holster designs and retention systems for carriers? Is this a ploy to change the conversation and deflate Paymar's argument, or an innocent flub by a well-intentioned but naive person?
