MINNESOTA GUN OWNERS POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE ISSUES STATEMENT OF SUPPORT FOR 2 STATE AUDITOR CANDIDATES
SAINT PAUL, MINN. August 5, 2014 – The Minnesota Gun Owners Political Action Committee today issued statements of support for two candidates vying for Minnesota State Auditor: Randy Gilbert and Keegan Iversen.
In addition, the MN Gun Owners PAC announced that they will not issue an endorsement for State Auditor this year.
“There are two candidates in the State Auditor’s race this year who each have a strong level of support for the constitutional rights of Minnesota’s gun owners,” said Mark Okern, Chairman, Minnesota Gun Owners PAC. “Randy Gilbert and Keegan Iversen each would be a strong representative of the interests of the more than two-and-a-half million law abiding gun owners in Minnesota as State Auditor.”
“Minnesota gun owners should also look with caution at the primary campaign of Matt Entenza for State Auditor,” said Bryan Strawser, Executive Director. “As a member of the state legislature, Mr. Entenza earned an ‘F’ rating from the Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance (GOCRA) and the National Rifle Association on multiple occasions. He is not a friend to Minnesota’s gun owners.”
“Minnesotans will have clear choices for State Auditor in November between two candidates that strongly believe in the civil rights of gun owners and other candidates who do not,” said Okern. “Minnesotans would be well-served to vote for Randy Gilbert or Keegan Iversen.”
