MINNESOTA GUN OWNERS POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE ISSUES STATEMENT OF SUPPORT FOR 5 GOVERNOR CANDIDATES
SAINT PAUL, MINN. August 5, 2014 – The Minnesota Gun Owners Political Action Committee today issued statements of support for five candidates vying for Minnesota Governor: Jeff Johnson, Scott Honour, Hannah Nicollet, Marty Seifert, and Kurt Zellers.
In addition, the MN Gun Owners PAC announced that they will review the Governor’s race following the August 12th primary and may issue an endorsement at that time.
“There are five candidates in the Governor’s race this year who each have an exceptionally strong level of support for the constitutional rights of gun owners,” said Mark Okern, Chairman, Minnesota Gun Owners PAC. “Jeff Johnson, Scott Honour, Hannah Nicollet, Marty Seifert, and Kurt Zellers each would fairly represent the interests of the more than two-and-a-half million law abiding gun owners in Minnesota as their Governor.”
“In November, Minnesota gun owners will have a clear choice in the voting booth between Governor Dayton, who has vetoed pro-gun rights legislation passed by the Minnesota legislature, and candidates who strongly support protecting the civil rights of gun owners,” said Bryan Strawser, Executive Director. “We look forward to revisiting the Governor’s race following the August 12th primary.”
