If I'm reading it correctly, the Democrats mobilized a previously complacent electorate after being surprised by the success of the recall vote. But another article, about how a Democratic official formally resigned rather than face a recall vote, suggests it's still a close-run issue in CO.

If this keeps on, eventually the SCOTUS is going to have to flatly declare either that the 2nd Amendment puts all gun laws into the "strict scrutiny" category, or that guns fall under the general police power of the states and can be strongly restricted by legislation.

From what I have read the two seats in question were very blue seats and it was not expected that the GOP candidates would have super chances of holding on. The one positive to note in that article is that CO did mange to flip one of their houses. Much like MN they now have some checks to bills being steam rolled through.

Remember to show up and voice your opinions and concerns. Minnesota very closely resembled CO in 2013. Lobbying by GOCRA and the sea of maroon shirts that turned out at all the hearings made a world of difference.

I used to frequent Colorado quite a bit but ever since they started electing these clowns, no more. One cannot even fish in a river without checking the crazy stream access laws. And their firearm laws will only get worse. And the same idiots legalized hooch.
I will take my hard earned cash to Idaho or Wyoming.

The front range from Denver to ft. Collins is so blue it's almost black. Out state is quite conservative and has talked secession.
