But we have to spend time and money fighting it -- resources that would be better spent on other things, like rewriting the NFA, 50 state reciprocity, etc...
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.

True, but we have time and some money, and I doubt those will make it past obama's desk.

Personally I get worried that if they rewrote the nfa it could come out worse than it currently is. I think writing understandable laws is a thing of the past, muddled and confusing law helps keep lawyers employed.

Personally i would focus on the 2 states bloomberg has targeted, work for a keeping what we currently have at the federal and state level, then focus on the next president.

I don't like this, but what else can be done?

Law professor in favor of "states rights"- when it comes to firearms:

(She also feels the entire Constitution is outmoded and should be replaced).

Well, if the 2nd is out moded, how about we do that to all of them? So that way if you wanted to live in a state with out free speech, or freedom of religion, or a police state, or a state where women could not vote or with slavery you could.

To me it seems like the professor is cherry picking rights, and that may work for her until someone picks a right to remove or change that she likes. Personally I am all for removing the goverments right to tax us!

PS: let her know the nation guard will start boarding solders in her residence on monday :P

PPS: Exactly who would you trust these days to rewrite our constitution? Obama? Clinon? Pelois? Bush? Cosby? Baldwin? Bloomberg? Ellison? ISIS?

His Supreme Court nominees would need to be confirmed by a Republican Senate.

Since when is that any guaranty? Imo they are divided and out of control, yes they have won a historic victory but can they locate their back bones, come together and speak with one voice and act or will they fall into petty squabbles and bickering more worried about winning in 2016 and their careers.

Hahahaha. Hold on. Hahahaha
Ok. I'm better. Yes its possible we could have a single republican senator jump ship while voting on a liberal SC justice. But they need FOURTEEN. Right? THAT. WILL. NEVER. HAPPEN.

Well I hope they can stop a liberial nomination, I just remember that repubs are uber good at shooting themselves in the foot.

Meh, with this president he will probable just executive order them into the court.

Now if the senate dem leader would start acting more like Pelosi I would have few worries that Obama could get Hillary or Bloomberg or ... On the court.

Sorry, but the republicans have done little lately to earn my faith in recent years.

They seem unable to actually put together a lawsuit on obama's executive orders. I think they have till Dec 11th to get a budget passed or the government shuts down, I am sure that will go well
