Thanks GOCRA and MNGOPAC

Postby 2in2out on Sat Nov 22, 2014 9:04 am

I just got an e-mail saying that Mark Okern was stepping down from his position at MNGOPAC, and I thought I would take the opportunity to publicly thank him, as well as the tireless efforts of GOCRA leadership over the years and all of the volunteers who keep both organizations alive and well.

Thanks to all of you for what you do!

Thanks all.

It has been my honor and pleasure to found and serve with MNGOPAC for the past 13 months. The PAC is in great hands going forward, and I plan to happily provide advice as Bryan and the rest of the team request.

Back in October 2013 when Bryan and I kicked things off over burgers and whisky, we had a few select goblins we dreamed of taking out...and it was an extremely happy evening on election night when it became clear that Shannon Savick was done walking out of hearings. MNGOPAC had an awesome success rate in its first election cycle, and I hope it will continue to be a force fighting for our rights at the polls.

Although I'm stepping down simply because I need to reclaim more time to spend with family and at the day job, there is one other side benefit...I can go back to being my snarky self without worrying about any negative spillover onto the organization.
