I sure hope this passes. I've never called and emailed politicians so much in my life. Just a little more for the home stretch.

The current and final version of the Omnibus bill (SF 878) hasn't been published online yet.

Early this morning Senator Champion tried to have the pro-gun stuff removed from the bill. He was all butt hurt because his felon voting provision was taken out. It failed 8-2, and Senator Ron Latz voted to keep the pro-gun stuff, including suppressors, in the bill.

The Omnibus bill should be voted on in both chambers sometime today. Call your representatives and Gov Dayton. We're in the final lap now!

I'd like to read what it's saying. Especially since it involves so much more than just silencers.

Reading an older version....

Is this still in the current version?
609.475 IMPERSONATING OFFICER.
70.1Whoever falsely impersonates a police or military officer, active or reserve
70.2component military service member, veteran, or public official with intent to mislead
70.3another into believing that the impersonator is actually such officer, service member,
70.4veteran, or official is guilty of a misdemeanor.

If it is, I don't like it.

Isn't it already a crime to impersonate a police officer?

The editing didn't come through.

Its basically changing the impersonating law to a stolen valor law too.
