There can be found many online reports of this new policy paper, but not the actual paper itself.

It appears it's release is a reaction to the recent debates, and a reversal of his previous stance...

Why would you believe what he says now more than what he's said in the past?

Honest question.
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

For most I suppose, any port in the storm.

So anyone think that Trump's opposition to "assault weapon" and "military-style" prohibitions, would extend to a repeal of the NFA? Or are we just talking about neutered post 86 items?

I concur;
His most recent position is almost too perfect
It's quite different than his past statements
The release of the paper was unscheduled/ unexpected

Trump seems to be a ready, fire, fire again guy- not that that's all bad, but it does not advance his political agenda
One cannot determine if he's saying what he believes, or what he believes will sound good.

He DOES continue to get his name spelled right.

The NFA issue would be a good question to put forth to Trump.
I suspect he, as well as most of the media, is unaware of the potential scope of his statement.

Ding, ding, ding.

This was a calculated move by his campaign. His recent debate performance was flat, and his lack of any tangible foreign policy platform, exposed one of many gaps the candidate has. He needed a little diversion to keep carrying the water.

Like him or hate him, the party should take notice that his celebrity and timing is doing more than any single policy position he may or may not have
