Rep Kim Norton tweets, a hoax?

Postby Citiot on Tue Nov 17, 2015 2:06 pm

I just got an email from MN Gun PAC. It had a link to a twitter where Rep Kim Norton appears to think a windshield wiper is a gun.

This is so idiotic it must be a hoax.

If this is true, this person is a lawmaker? Wow.

Looks authentic to me. Some people who are extremely set on building their case will see whatever they want to see to try to support it. In this case I think she made a really stupid mistake thinking there is a gun sticking out of that car and can't or won't accept the fact she was wrong.

Yes, the more I look at older tweets, it is her.

True leaders admit mistakes. In fact, I WILL NOT follow or work for anyone who's ego is so big that they won't admit a mistake. Looks like the gun nuts gave her every chance to back peddle without losing face.

Nothing to see here, folks. Just a windshield wiper sticking out the back.

That's good. If she is going to be Paymar's replacement as the leader of the antis in the legislature, might as well be an idiot.

Thankfully, she's retiring after this term...

Representative Dehn is the Paymar replacement - he's been the main actor behind anti-gun movement in the House.

However, I expect that Rep. Norton will be introducing many bills in the 2016 session.

Oh it's not a hoax - she really thinks that.

She has wholly bought into the smart gun, registry, background checks, licensing of gun owners, and on and on from the anti-gun crowd.

Thanks for picking up on that. Like any group that is being attacked socially or otherwise marginalized, if the group uses the derogatory term, it takes the power away from the word.

Examples are "cop", a term starting with "f" for gay people, the "n" word, etc.

I am a proud gun nut.
