Gun Owners Lobby day at capital tomorrow?

Postby atomic41 on Wed Mar 09, 2016 2:32 pm

Who is going to this? I'm going to take half the day off and go, this will be my first time attending anything like this.

Can we carry (concealed of course) at the capital now without writing a letter ahead of time? Those that have been at political events there, anything us first timers should know?

Gonna try to get over there for my lunch hour.

Advice is to stay away from Mr. Ocra. ;)

The carry law has been revised/ Capitol felony trap removed.
Parking can be an issue
As convenient as many might find Sears' lot to be, be advised its posted for customers only(wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
Dress neatly
Be polite to Capitol Secuity; they are professional and will reciprocate
Be prepared for provocateurs infiltrating and making asses of themselves.

So carry is ok now, cool. I'll keep it concealed anyway
I'll park and walk no problem
I'll be coming from work so I'll be dressed professionally
I was raised in the south with proper manners
I'll bring the popcorn and enjoy the show
Who is Mr. Ocra?

Mr Ocra was a provocateur who showed up with a 'go Ocra' sign.

He is a mentally disturbed individual, who has admitted he is a danger to self and others. He has also issued threats against leaders of the gun rights movement here in MN.

Just ignore provocateurs - and/or point them out to event security - I don't expect Mr. Ocra to be there this year.

Zack Frank is working the "guest services" detail along with several others. Large intimidating dude, great personality, likes breakfast food...will be there in a vest. Introduce yourself to him and let him or anyone at the GOCRA table know if you need assistance.
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.

I would be there if I didn't live on the opposite side of the state.

When unemployed, I had plenty of time but no money. Now I'm working again, I have money but no time; I'll send in a donation.

I survived. Thanks to those who attended. Lots of maroon in the crowd, only a hint of camo. I'd love to see that whole area filled with maroon one day.

Looks like it was a great turnout and I'm sorry I couldn't be there.
