quality misleading propaganda! back at the start it mentions how these numbers have nothing to do with the actual numbers of gun owners...just registered ones, you know the ones for the tax stamp getting guys?

did I make this thread right? someone fix it.

"51,658 registered firearms "

Registered with whom?

Not to mention we have over 250K permit holders, and over 2million hunters... safe to say they all own at least one gun.

Read it closely.

We are 31st in NFA registered arms. SBR, machine guns, AOW's, what-not.

Pretty impressive given they only allow C&R auto weapons in MN.

They have no real way of tracking anything else. Typical deceptive reporting by our so called journalists with an agenda.

It's just NFA registered firearms, since that's the only kind of firearm that there is a (fairly) accurate count of.

Interesting that DC comes in a #2.

I can't tell when the article was written, but they are using 2013 data, 2016 data is available here:

https://www.atf.gov/resource-center/docs/2016-firearms-commerce-united-states/download

And as of 02/16 lists us with 63,999 NFA registered devices(page 15) - which includes silencers(not available to general public in MN in 2013 and barely in circulation by 02/16).

Note that according to according to the guys on ARF, alot of the destructive devices are flash/bangs registered to Law Enforcement(which explains DC's numbers). Sooo, yeahhh, pretty crappy way to get data. But, as was said before, glad to stay under the radar.

I believe it's more than a simply an accounting of NFA guns. It's registered firearms, which in a place like DC, likely includes handguns.
According to this BS, DC has a higher percentage of gun ownership than Texas.

If liberals want to think that everything is already registered and that 's all that's out there, I'm not going to argue.
