Got this from GOCRA:

Anti-Gun Hearing Thursday - we need you there!

In coordination with MGOC...

Because of threatened abuse of the House rules by anti-gun Representative Dave Pinto, a hearing has been forced in the House Public Safety Committee for two gun control bills THIS THURSDAY beginning at 10:15 a.m.

THIS THURSDAY
10:15 a.m.
Room 10
State Office Building (located SW of the Capitol).

The hearing will cover:

* HF 1605: Gun Violence Restraining Orders
* HF 1669: Universal Background Checks

We anticipate that the hearing will last approximately 90 minutes.

We're anticipating approximately 30 minutes total to be spent on each bill. Committees usually take public testimony.

WE NEED YOU AT THE HEARING:

Arrive early (by 8:00 a.m., if not earlier)
Park in an available lot nearby - ample parking is available within 2-3 blocks.
The hearing is being held in the State Office Building at 100 Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Room 10 (basement).
Lawful carry is allowed with a Minnesota Permit to Carry - no other notification is required. Please carry concealed.
If you have a GOCRA T-shirt, please wear it.

Why is this stuff always scheduled when I have to be at work? Did the best I could, emailed my representative, a Democrat who will probably just ignore me.

Correct. They know the statistics around gun owners and know that the time will hinder participation for most gun owners, but the professional protesters will be able to get there no problem. Frustrating.

Is there anywhere closer to park for handicapped people? I can't walk that far, and have handicap parking. If I can get closer, I can attend.

Thanks

Thanks. If I'm reading it correctly, the parking ramp on MLK will be the closest to where we need to go? I've never been down there, so any help or guidance will be appreciated.

At the beginning of the meeting, I think I heard the chair made reference moving the location due to a safety issue. What was the issue?

Looks like both bills tabled. Read this on AR15.com in Minnesota section.

In the future when a politician accuses you of not representing them remind them that some of the constituents they claim to represent feel the same way about them.

Also if she was a gun owner at age 12 what were the laws back then?
