Source for MN primary voting?

Postby yukonjasper on Fri Aug 10, 2018 7:22 pm

Is there a source for understanding how all candidates stack up on 2A topics?

Primaries knocking.......

I did not see US Senate candidates on the NRA site. Any feedback for those backed by R party (marked with check mark)?

Both Karin and Newberger are solid on 2A issues. Newberger has carried a number of 2A bills in the MN House.

Why doesn't the MN Gun Owner's Caucus have a legislative scorecard for the 2018 elections? If you do, I can't find it easily on the web site.

Also, why doesn't the NRA's scoring have most US House races? For instance, District 7 is not listed.

We will - for the general election. We've never published one for the primary.

The NRA's guide doesn't have most US House races for the same reason.

So, how do you think we did in the primaries? Did your candidates make it through?

Ipicked Johnson over Pawlenty. Tim is a good guy but I'm not sure how much "fight" he has in him.

I’ve had enough of Pawlenty.

I hate to say it, but I believe the era of "nice" politicians is over. I don't think we can go back because the extreme views on each side is going to demand warriors. They won't be happy with compromise and will consider anything but the most extreme view winning as a failure. Sad. Soon a melding of WWE and politics will be reality.

"Nice politicians"?

What I've seen over the last 30 years is democrats savaging and slandering anyone who dares disagree with them. And spineless republicans falling on their knees begging not to be hated.
I will never apologize for being an American.

All of our endorsed candidates won. 4/4 of our A rated candidates won (sometimes by beating another A rated candidate)

All in all a good win in the primary.

The general will be a massive fight.

What's your take on Walz? Has he truly changed his position on guns, or did he say what he thought he needed to in hopes of getting the DFL endorsement? I'll be voting for Johnson.
