I voted Dem in the primary since I didn't want Erin Murphy to be on the ballot. I voted for Ali Chehem Ali since he had no chance of winnng. His position on "guns right" (sic) is essentially that since we regulate air and water (as they can kill us) we should regulate guns as well. He states that "people kill people not guns" is "archaic." I sent him an email at 7 pm last night saying that since his political "career" would be over in an hour (when the polls close) he should keep his day job, if he has one.

Walz said he wants to ban our ARs. No friend of ours.

I'm aware of the position of his website, but that is certainly different than his history.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to take the chance. Just wondering what we are up against.

Waltz used to be fairly good on gun rights (even for a Democrat), but he’s high up enough now that he needs to walk the party line.

Democrats aren’t what they used to be. Trending towards open socialism and I haven’t seen anyone denounce it so I’ll assume there’s a reason. Socialism and pro gun don’t play well together.

It's hard to believe that the far left views are talking such hold in America today and are becoming widely accepted by the dems. Even for dems that believe in the core liberalism/progressive stuff it seems odd that they would accept socialist things so readily.

I think it’s mostly do to Trump. He’s been portrayed as extreme right wing when the reality is he’s more centrist than anything. They are pushing to counteract the extreme Trump that Fake News promotes.

The uninformed voters out there are taking it hook line and sinker and progressing them down a rabbit hole.

It's a very pragmatic, and historically popular means to garner support, right up until the OPM runs dry.

This tends to be a battle of the informed vs the uninformed and a news media that spreads mis-information to the public. Knowledge and thruth will always be the enemy of the left.

Seems people like Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez are sticking to it.

Socialism is an easy sale to those with poor critical thinking skills. Who wouldn't want free stuff?

Socialist leaders like crazy Uncle Burnie know socialism dosen't work. They also know they become very wealthy advocating for it.
