Sources for City Official races?

Postby yukonjasper on Mon Oct 15, 2018 3:30 pm

Does anyone have a source for local City candidate's views and opinions? I'm in Eagan but don't have a good source for how the local candidates stack up. SUGGESTIONS?

Look for yard signs. Don't vote for any candidate whose sign is in the same yard as a Waltz or Klobuchar sign.

That's pretty much how i do it now. I also survey the literature and look for words and phrases that might tip me off to which way they lean. It's not very fair, but there isn't much to work with sometimes. I was hoping for something more definitive and exact.

A mayoral candidate stopped and gave me a pamphlet. I figured I’d research him but the website on the pamphlet was to his Facebook page. I don’t do Facebook so I don’t know anything about him.

Edit to clarify, I needed to login to Facebook to see his page. Which I can’t.

The pioneer press has been running bits on local school board and city council candidates. I’d be surprised if they weren’t covering eagan.

I don't know whether this will help or not, but it has some info. i do understand, it was published by the Star-Trib, so I suggest further research may be required.
