So you think the Left will end up running a woman in 2020? Intersectionality is strong with the Left. Who do you think will it be?

Oprah will probably run. She just isn’t opening herself up to trump’s attacks this soon.

Just read this

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/11/16/oprah-pal-williamson-2020-run-996174

Add one more name to the growing list of Democrats preparing to run for president in 2020: Marianne Williamson — pal of Oprah, spirituality guru and fixture of Hollywood's New Age community.

Williamson, a best-selling author of a dozen books on spirituality including “A Return to Love,” announced on Friday that she's forming a presidential exploratory committee and traveling to Iowa, her fifth trip to the state this year.

If things keep going Trumps way then she’s the only one I can think of that could beat him.

I kind of think the left will continue to go further left, Oprah might be to moderate for them?

Extreme left is hard to win on the state level and I think would be harder on a national level. That’s why you see the real fruitcakes in the house.

It depends on the state and how ignorant the voters are. It will be interesting to see if a dem can go left enough that the base will give them the nomination and then try to run to a more moderate position for the election.

There definitely are blue states but as a whole the country still trends red at the state level.

There are a whole bunch of U.S. house democrats that want the party to continue moving further left !
The democrat party has a civil war brewing between the old corporate dems and the new socialists/Marxists .
I hope the U.S. house is consumed by this rift between the 2 factions of dems and are as ineffectual as the Republicans were for the last two years !
Which is partly why they lost so many seats this time . Despite a great economy .
