Call me a contrarian, I'm thinking that because they want us to tells us everything we need to know to fight for it. Do they actually believe this or is it a smoke screen? I'm thinking some of both.

The "'so-called' Bill Of Rights"?

The Second Amendment must be understood in the context of the time it was proposed. A single shot, muzzle-loading weapon that took more than 60 seconds to arm is quite different from a weapon of war designed not just to kill but to obliterate the victim.

A logical extension that the protections of the Bill of Rights apply only to the technology of the day, mean the Gutenberg Press, speaking physically from the town square, med evil signal flags and smoke signals are about the only forms of protected communication.

Too bad he didn't answer. That would be an easy one. "Because we apparently have a significant number of bad people who have been raised to not respect others and are OK causing them harm."
