The Gun Banners are doubling-down

Whatever good news there might be on the national level or the Supreme Court, things are not looking well here in MN, as The Party is apparently taking its electoral successes as a mandate to (try to) impose Trudeau-level disarmament of guns. The latest newsletter from MN GOC is daunting:

Here's what we expect them to try:
Universal Gun Registration
Red Flag Gun Confiscation
Bans on standard capacity magazines
Restrictions on permits to carry
Ban open carry
Licensing & insurance to purchase a firearm - or even to possess it
Bans on commonly owned semi-automatic firearms

And then, in a league of his own, is Senator John Marty- whose proposed "public safety" bill last year was so draconian it was nicknamed the "Repeal the Second Amendment in Minnesota" bill.

It's like the more the courts and the grass roots electorate reject gun disarmament (I've given up dignifying it as "control"), the more furiously the banners insist they're going to shove disarmament down our deplorable throats, for our own good of course.

It's personally discouraging because there's so little I can do directly; I live in MN voting district 59A, represented by solid "F"-graded DFL gun banners like Fue Lee, and Bobby Joe Champion; to say nothing of national congresspersons Ilhan Omar and Amy Klobuchar. A bastion of DFL- controlled North Minneapolis so solidly Blue, it might have joined in the invasion of Pepperland.
